POTD: Suppressed M240 With 1.5-6x Elcan SpecterDR

0

You’re watching and reading TFB’s Photo Of The Day, and yet another of Ohio Ordnance Works‘ creations appears. The M240 is presently the US military’s general-purpose machine gun and features a belt-fed mechanism. It is air-cooled, just like old Porsche 911s.

In terms of optics, the ELCAN SpecterDR 1.5x/6x is the latest evolution of their Dual Role Optical Sights. It provides even higher magnification to enable greater precision and longer engagement ranges. Yet you have the field of view in CQB mode. The reticle is a dual-thickness ballistic crosshair, with a user-selectable red dot and VSOR rangefinder. The Vertical Subtention Optical Rangefinder (VSOR) allows the marksman to estimate the distance to targets by matching the height of a known object within the field of view.

Our Suppressed 240 with a 1.5-6x Elcan SpecterDR is pretty mean.

The finish looks like it has been Cerakoted, and deliberately made to look used and worn. All it’s missing is the belt.
